In addition to TVS and mobile phones, TCL recently launched a USB webcam with full HD resolution, called C2D. Google TV and Android TV smart TV users will be able to easily make video calls with this accessory. To use it, simply connect the cable to the USB port on the smart TV and magnetically attach the camera to the TV.
The camera accessory also works with popular apps like Google Duo, as well as other video chat apps on Google TV and Android TV.
The camera is also integrated with dual microphones for stereo and 3D noise reduction, which is said to bring a clear audio and video calling experience.
The camera measures 3.5 x 0.9 x 1 inches, has a 1.5-inch stand and a 4.7-foot USB cable.
Sensor resolution is full HD / 1080p, complemented by a 70° lens field. Users can also safely mask the camera with a physical privacy screen when they don't need it.
TCL's C2D full HD USB Webcam, released this week, will cost around $80, but it's unclear which retail channels will sell it separately.
It won't be long before we see it in TCL's Google TV/Android TV channels.
